These Sight Word Sentences and Games are designed to help kids build confidence with early literacy skills. A high level of picture support is provided. Just one sight word is added on each page.

This resource is ideal for use in kindergarten, and also toward the beginning of first grade.

1) A link to a document in Google Slides

2) A link to a document with a JPEG image of each page

Samples of each activity are available to explore in the resource preview.

Because of the highly supportive format, these resources are ideal for small group instruction, whole class work, and/or distance learning.

All of the activities in this resource are printable and work well as paper and pencil activities. Using Easel (the TpT digital tool), you can also send the pages you select for your students through Google Classroom.

When reading the Sight Word Sentences, I encourage students to color in a star each time they read the page. This can be done either with paper and pencil, or by using the highlighting feature in Easel (the TpT digital tool).

Using Easel Activities, students can also highlight the focus sight word on each page. (I recommend using yellow or blue.)

Repeated reading of these passages helps students master these first sight words and also develop fluency in reading.

Information Regarding the Reading Comprehension Games

These games include two sentence cards and two matching picture cards for each sight word in this set. Directions for seven reading comprehension games are included.

These games are great to leave for subs, for home learning activities, and/or to provide for parent volunteers. Ready to go - just cut out the cards and enjoy!
